    This is a story set in the 15th century.  At that time, nobody knew with certainty what was over the horizon.  A player (you) becomes a Portuguese merchant.  You have traded products and explored in your local vicinity with your steward, Miguel.

     One day, you receive an autograph that is written about "a contract of a trading privilege" from Afonso V, the King of Portugal.  You will explore undeveloped regions and report him any discoveries.  Towards this end, the king will grant you funds every year.   Moreover, you have a privilege to trade products in all cities you discover.

     Your life is changed from the moment you receive this opportunity.  Now, you are not only a merchant, but also an adventurer with the chance to see the true shape of the world.
